Dave Kaplan has a BSc in Chemical Engineering (Surrey University), an MSc in Control Systems (Imperial College), and is a chartered Chemical Engineer and Chartered Scientist. He has worked in the process industry since leaving University.

Prior to joining In-Total-Control Dave worked as an independent consultant to the pharmaceutical industry for a wide range of clients. His prior experience was in the food and fine chemical industry where he worked for Unilever. His software development experience has been gained on a multiplicity of platforms during his career. As Technical Director of In-Total-Control, he is responsible for the detailed design, implementation and testing of the company’s major projects.

Since joining In-Total-Control Dave has lead the technical design and implementation of the Process Control Systems for both the Pilot Plant and Kilo Lab at Pfizer, Sandwich. Following completion of the main project, Dave continued to provide support, and implemented numerous system enhancements, as well as running training courses at all levels. His Recent projects include, the migration of a ProcessSuite/APACS control system from a Microsoft Windows NT platform to the latest version of Wonderware InTouch using terminal services. He has also developed a Plant Performance Metrics database to provide management information to plant managers and supervisors. This has proven highly beneficial when analysing plant performance between sites.

Dave and his family live in Surrey, England. In his spare time, he runs a local snorkelling club
